In GuestCam, galleries are where guests (or you) can add photos & videos to your event. An event must have at least 1 Main Gallery for guests to access & upload to.
If your event is on the Premium package, you can create multiple Main Galleries within the same event, each with a unique QR code, URL, guest permissions, and settings. You can then share the QR Code or link of any gallery you want guests to upload to.
Main Gallery vs Sub Gallery
Main Gallery
A main gallery is the gallery you share with your guests. Each main gallery has its own unique QR code and link. Guests can ONLY access the specific main gallery that is shared with them. Each box in the image below is a main gallery - except for "My Reactions" which is automatically generated as you react to uploads.
Sub Gallery
A sub gallery exists within a main gallery and can only be accessed through that main gallery. You can think of sub galleries as folders or albums inside a parent folder or album. Within a main gallery, you can create new sub galleries or link an existing main or sub gallery to it, depending on your needs. Below is what a sub gallery setup looks like in a main gallery.
How to use galleries
1. As "Mini-Events"
Some customers who used GuestCam for their weddings created different galleries for their Bridal showers, Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties, Rehearsal dinners, and the main Wedding event - all within a single event.
2. As "Folders" to Organize
Some customers also use galleries to organize photos & videos in their event. For instance, we've seen some weddings create a guest gallery where guests can upload their photos & videos. And then create other galleries to organize the professional photographer's pictures into different scenes, like Bride & Groom, Portraits, Reception, and Ceremony.

Galleries are flexible enough for many other use cases, so feel free to explore them for your needs!
